Charlotte Restaurant Scene On The Move

Adam Williams CRE Real Estate broker and principal with Legacy specializes in Landlord & Tenant Representation with a concentration in Retail and Restaurants

Charlotte’s “booming population growth and new development across the city have fueled a surge in restaurant openings with more on the way.” says Jennifer Thomas in the Charlotte business journal article (CLICK HERE).
Adam Williams added to the encouraging discussion, saying :”Charlotte’s where everyone wants to be. The Queen City is in the sweet spot size wise. It’s big enough for concepts to thrive, but small enough they don’t get lost in the sprawl of a megacity. Restaurants that wouldn’t have given Charlotte a second look a decade ago, now see it as an ideal home.”

Heist Brewery Leases New Facility in North End

Heist Brewery is expanding  in Charlotte’s North End with a new production facility, bakery and butcher shop to be named Heist Brewery and Barrel Arts.

The new facility is a 22,000-square-foot on a 2.3-acre parcel off of Woodward Avenue.  The plans call for a mid to late summer opening. A 17,000 square feet section of he building will serve as the brewing facility, including a 3,200-square-foot taproom, a 30-barrel brew house and canning line, patio space and a large beer garden. The remainder of that building will serve as an independent bake shop. The other, a butcher shop. Kurt Hogan, Heist Brewery’s founder and president said  “I always knew the end goal was a production facility,”.  Heist will be leasing the property and the transformation from warehouse to the-place-to-be venue will be a major undertaking and is creating quite the buzz.

Rodney Faulkner with Legacy represented the landlord in transaction. Please contact Rodney Faulkner and Legacy, for all your Commercial Real Estate needs.
