SouthPark attracts upscale restaurant concept

SouthPark will be the new location for Executive Chef, Bill Greene’s latest venture.  Green, and his wife, Anita have long wanted to bring their vision to Charlotte after opening their farm to table concept “Artisanal” in Banner Elk, NC in 2006. Known for its contemporary American menu, Artisanal is a western North Carolina favorite.

The couple has spent more than 4 years planning the right timing and searching for the perfect location for their Queen City debut. That space is a 7,800-square-foot space in Piedmont Town Center in SouthPark formally occupied by AZN Azian Cuizine.  They were drawn to the space by its soaring ceilings and large kitchen. Green speaks with much excitement of the still-to-be-named venture ”Expect the design to take Artisanal’s current feel and put it in an urban setting. Plans are to incorporate wood, stone and fabrics to give the space a warm feel.” Greene says.

“Fans of Artisanal should expect the same focus on food and service, but a different overall experience in the Queen City. The menu will be progressive American with small plates and shared snacks featured. Seafood will be highlighted, as will local products and produce.” Jennifer Thomas Charlotte Business Journal.
