Curling Club Coming to Charlotte, NC

An exciting new venture is coming to Charlotte- The Charlotte Curling Club. The Charlotte Curling Club is a not-for-profit organization committed to bringing all aspects of the sport of curling to those interested. Greg Godley, with Legacy, represented The Charlotte Curling Club and helped them locate and purchase 4 acres of land at 6525 Old Statesville Road. They plan to build a 16,500 SF facility that will open to the public in the fall of 2014. 12,000 SF of the total building will be taken up by ice!
Founded in 2010, the Charlotte Curling Association is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping the Olympic sport of curling flourish in the Charlotte area. The organization consists of over 90 junior, adult and senior members, ranging from zero to 50+ years of curling experience. These dedicated members have driven many successful endeavors, including hosting multiple tournaments, known as bonspiels, and a renowned curling training camp for curlers across the United States and Canada. The next major project is a dedicated curling facility, set to open in North Charlotte by November 2014. To learn more, please visit
